As this is the first blog post, it is only fitting for us to take you through a bit of a journey on who we are, how we’ve come about and why you’d want to work with us.


Optimum was born out of sheer frustration - frustration at the lack of support and guidance for charities and businesses, particularly those of a smaller scale. Existing support structures have been mainly targeted at bigger organisations, leaving start-ups feeling lost, isolated and essentially learning from their own mistakes. And this was our own narrative. The co-founders of OCL have come from being individuals with a passion and just an idea, realising this to leading organisations which have turned around close to £2m.


We were you. And we simply get it.

We chose the name Optimum because the word embodied exactly what we wanted the business to be about.


Definition of Optimum:

The best; most likely to bring success or advantage.


How it relates to you:

We help you and your organisation reach your optimum through giving you nothing short of excellent in our service.


Our main core values are around transparency and openness and this not only applies to internal relationships but most importantly relationships with the client.


We believe wholly in adding value through our work and we believe the best way of doing this is through empowering our clients by asking them the right questions and having them reach their own solutions in a co-productive manner.


We also love connecting with different people so feel free to get in touch and we can arrange a (virtual) coffee.
